Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Musculoskeletal health focuses on how you move. It involves your bones, muscles, and joints. We start by analyzing your movement patterns to identify the source of your pain. Injuries are typically classified as either acute or chronic.
Acute injuries occur suddenly, such as a sprain or a fracture. They are often intensely painful, so we prioritize fast action to help you feel better. Our focus for acute care is reducing swelling and restoring your physical strength.
Chronic pain develops over a longer period. This includes issues like persistent back pain or joint stiffness. We examine the root cause, such as your posture, to provide a lasting solution.
To support your recovery, we utilize several tools:
• Soft tissue massage and release
• Joint mobilizations to reduce stiffness
• Taping or bracing
• Dry needling for muscle relief
• Personalised stretches and exercises
• Guidance to help you stay injury-free
A doctor's referral is not required to see us privately. If you are experiencing pain, you can begin your recovery process immediately. Contact us at 0452 253 252 or click HERE to book your initial assessment.

Chronic Pain
*Eligibility required for a management plan with injuries typically needing to be 6 months or older, or potentially one that can last up to and over 6 months. If you are unsure if you are eligible, please call to find out more information or discuss with your GP at your next visit. Referral needed to receive bulk-billed sessions under a Medicare Chronic Management Plan (GPCCMP).
Pain is considered chronic when it has lasted for longer than 6 months. This means that you could've stopped all activity or exercise and still be suffering. Your movement, strength and coordination could all be affected without even realising it. That's why we take a thorough history is key to establishing what factors have led to the onset of chronic pain. Things such as muscle weakness or imbalance, poor training technique or even overuse and overload can lead to persistent niggles and pain.
Patients with chronic pain may be eligible to receive FREE treatment under Medicare's Chronic Management Plan* (GPCCMP). All you will need is a chronic management plan referral from your GP to receive up to 5 sessions of bulk-billed physiotherapy.

Vestibular Rehab
The vestibular system in your inner ear is responsible for maintaining your balance and spatial awareness. When this system is affected, it often results in vertigo such as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).
BPPV often results in the feeling that the room is spinning, compared to just the general sense of light-headedness or dizziness. Diagnosis includes ruling out any other cause of vertigo or dizziness and then treatment through specialised manoeuvres to relocate the crystals back into place and normalizing the messages to the brain about the bodies spatial awareness.
If you suffer from vertigo or BPPV, please call us today on 0452 253 252 or click HERE to enquire about an appointment today!
Dry Needling
Dry needling is an effective tool to treating soft tissue injuries. The insertion of very fine needles directly into sore or spasmed muscles causes the release of chemicals and increases blood flow to allow for tissue healing, as well as muscle and nerve stimulation, almost working like a restart button for improved muscle activation and function. Some trigger points that are released cause a 'twitch' response in the muscle, where the muscle involuntarily contracts before relaxing again into a better state.
Dry needling is a perfectly safe and minimally invasive treatment technique that uses single-use sterile acupuncture needles. Some patients can feel some soreness where the needles were placed, often comparable to normal muscle soreness after exercise. Some bleeding or bruising can also occur especially for those on blood thinners, however is quite rare. We always ensure that dry needling is safe to be applied before use.

Pre-Employment and Functional Assessments
When looking for new employment, some employers require you to undertake a pre-employment functional assessment as part of their screening process. This commonly involves a cardiovascular endurance test, range of motion testing, special testing, postural tolerances and lifting assessments. We have worked with many workplaces and pre-employment agencies who all provide their own unique testing criteria, or we have ready-made screening and functional assessment templates should you require to engage in an assessment prior to beginning work. Drug and alcohol testing is also provided on-site if requested as part of the assessment.
If you are required to undertake a pre-employment or functional assessment as part of your job interview process, please call us on 0452 253 252 or click HERE to enquire below!
