Casting and Fracture Management

Unlike what popular culture dictates, bone fractures and breaks are the same thing! Fractures is the technical term that involves many kind of ways our bones can get injured. From small green-stick fractures to larger compound or open fractures, the right management is key to recovery. If you fracture a bone, or have surgery to fix your bone fracture, you will likely be placed into a cast. This keeps your affected body part immobilized and protected while it heals. We provide waterproof casting at both our clinics to help make life easier while recovering. Our fiberglass casting material is also nice and lightweight so you won't have a hard time carrying extra weight around. We also can remove casts so you don't need to waste hours on end waiting at the hospital to be free!

After coming out of a cast, your limb or body part will usually feel stiff and weak. This is quite normal and so we will provide you with excellent treatment to restore your joint mobility and muscle strength to get you back to your best in no time.

X-rays or other imaging and an appropriate referral are required for the application of a fiberglass cast. If you require a cast and have these available please call today on
0452 253 252 to not delay application. If you haven't been told to get a cast or unsure if you need one, please call us as soon as possible to not delay in managing a potential fracture.
